Hey, did you enjoy Kong vs Zilla?
This is a rough question. Because while I did enjoy the mindless nonsensical fun of two (spoilers, three) giant monsters bashing the hell out of each other, the American incarnation of Godzilla is such a soulless vessel for blockbuster megabucks, so far removed from his original, deeper roots, that I feel the same way when I look at him as I do an ex-lover.
The CGI was good, the designs were great, but the film had no heart. The careless tossing about of harmful conspiracy theories for laugh points also didn’t sit well with me, because those people will always think you’re laughing with them, not at them.
I like glowing Godzilla though. Good touch.
